Itching to Paint

I'm moving....... AGAIN! I had no plans to move. I like my place. I have a good set up but....... opportunity arose for me to move across the hall into a 2 bedroom.  This opportunity is at the cost of losing a friend who is moving to Calgary (which breaks my heart) but the silver lining to such loss is a second bedroom.

This may not mean much to most but space but to me....... this is gold! This means good times on so many levels: a.) I get to have a dining area back  b.) I will have a full bedroom completely dedicated to studio space. My very own private little haven to create and make a mess and it will not clutter my separate living space (PLEASE INSERT THE HAPPY DANCING AND SINGING).

I have been painting for a few years now and have gone through several moves and transitions of growth in my work.  I have adjusted and sacrificed some traditional living space to maintain my artist activities. I like a clean & organized house. I function better in order. Who doesn't right? (Yes, I'd like the believe the whole world is as OCD as me...lol)  For the past few years my stock of paintings has grown and I work on more and more paintings all at once and my canvas size has changed dramatically.  I dislike saying this but I NEED more space and I need not to paint where I eat.

So here it is, folks! I get a room all to my little creative self. A room where I can think and be artsy fartsy and make a big mess and when I want to walk away I can simply close the door and leave it.   HAVE I MENTIONED HOW EXCITED I AM ABOUT THIS? VERY (in case you have not gotten that impression thus far).

I am currently finishing up my move and will need a few weeks to organize (plus I am holding my friends items until she gets possession of her new place). But with baited breath I wait for the day. I have not painted in a few weeks and my little brain is squirming from withdrawal. I don't know how I ever survived without this outlet in my life. I will keep you posted once it's done! :)
