Paul Auster
I can say, with most certainly, that my month has been busy (so far). I attended my first art show opening and it's been a blur from there. I received confirmation of a solo show in Jan 2013 (details will follow closer to the time). I am busily preparing for the July Whyte Avenue Art Walk. Last week I met with a store owner and will be happily displaying my work in her facility for the summer quarter. I am ecstatic and grateful for any and all the opportunities for my work to be show, displayed and shared.
Anyone who knows me, knows I like to be prepared. I am early for everything..... I like to know all the information..... I ask lots of questions..... and I want to do anything prior to be ready for where I'm going/what I'm doing etc. That being said I have been painting like mad! I want to be able to display anywhere at the drop of a dime.
I'm about to take a road trip to British Columbia and though I'm looking forward to my time off I can't help but think of how much painting I could get done in that time....... so I've decided to take some of it with me :) I will be staying with friends and thought "Why not?". They all have yards and the weather will (hopefully) be nice. Why can't I squeeze a few hours of painting into my time away from home? I can! Have car .... will travel! I depart on Friday and will go with a car full of blank canvas, a box of paints and maybe my suitcase too.
Here are a few of my finished works from this last burst of enthusiasm!
